What we need is a "21st Century Full Employment Act for Peace and Prosperity" which would make it a mandatory requirement that the president and Congress attain and maintain full employment.

Propane: Cold Weather Headache

Where are the voices in Congress on this one?

Check out the lead story... have your wages gone up like your winter heating bills? Probably not if you heat with propane. Read the main story at the top of the page... "Propane: Cold Weather Headache; Cost of propane nearly tripled:"

Why hasn't the government stepped in to put an end to this corporate rip-off? This is just plain old price-gouging... outright robbery... monopoly price-fixing of the worst kind.

I sent in this "Letter to the Editor" to Northern Watch:

Got propane?

To what degree is the Military-Industrial Complex's use of propane driving prices of propane up since the Military-Industrial Complex is the single largest consumer of propane in the world and the government is willing to pay any price without protest?

Have your wages gone up like your winter heating bills?

Probably not if you heat with propane.

The Northern Watch's lead front-page story (2/1/2014)  "Propane: Cold Weather Headache; Cost of propane nearly tripled:"

Former Minnesota Farmer-Labor Party Governor Floyd B. Olson warned Minnesotans in 1934, "If we fail to bring the energy industry under public ownership future generations will be paying through the nose to light and heat their homes."

These hikes in propane prices come at the very time Minnesota politicians are discussing whether or not the Minimum Wage should be increased and by how much.

When is "cost-of-living" going to enter into these discussions about the Minimum Wage given the fact that home heating bills are one of the primary "cost-of-living" factors?
