Democrats can't win because they provide no real solutions to the problems working people are experiencing
Why Democrats lost can largely be blamed on their continued defense of the "Health Insurance and Pharmaceutical Industry Bailout and Profit Maximization Act of 2010" or as they obviously would rather call it by its non-sinister sounding name which hides its real intention--- Obamacare. Of course they have difficulty referring to it as the "Affordable Care Act" because there is nothing affordable about it.
So while the Democrats continue to tell us they intend to save us from Trump and the Republicans through the 2018 and 2020 elections, they are dooming their chances even further by continuing to pound away with this incredible nonsense no one believes that Obamacare is worth saving when in fact it deserves to be repealed and replaced with real health care reform--- a National Public Health Care System.
By refusing to acknowledge the failure of Obamacare the Democrats are only setting us up for greater attacks from the Republicans.
This is why we need a new political party to reflect the rising anger of the American people caused by their disgust in this two-party trap which is reflected in the growing movements of people taking to the streets in opposition to Trump's reactionary fascist-like agenda.
If people had any confidence at all in the Democrats being able to resolve their problems through the 2018 and 2020 elections they would be heavily involved in mobilizing for these elections to back Democrats; but how many of the millions of people now in the streets across the country do you see getting involved in the Democratic Party?
All polls show, and talk to most anyone and you will find, people are just plain fed up and angry they have no political movement and party they can relate to which will take up their concerns and problems.
And as the Democrats stick to their warmongering and their phony health care "reform" like Obamacare and continue to talk about "jobs, jobs, jobs" with no jobs at real living wages ever materializing; all opposed by the people but not for the reasons given by the Republicans but because people know that they have created the enormous wealth in this country through their labor and they expect this wealth to be used to improve their lives and livelihoods.
People aren't opposed to government as the Republicans claim; people are opposed to a government of corrupt Democrats and Republicans doing the wrong things; hurting people instead of helping people.
We have a huge vacuum in this country where the majority of the people have no say in government because they don't have a political party reflecting the kind of country they want to live in.
What do people want from government?
Well, if you don't know, I suggest you take this very simple and basic petition around and ask your family, friends, neighbors and fellow workers to consider signing it and see how fast they sign it.
If you want to continue the experiment try circulating a petition calling for spending more money on wars.
And try circulating a petition asking people to support Obamacare.
But, have available all three petitions so people have the opportunity to make real choices.
I think you will find just what I have found; there are very, very few people who will not sign this petition because it makes sense to them; go ahead and try it for yourself; let's build a movement, a massive movement, a movement of the people, by the people and for the people--- this is the way to defeat Trump and take political and economic power away from Wall Street:
Campaign for a “21st Century Full Employment Act for Peace and Prosperity”
We are fed up with politicians campaigning on promises of “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs” and then failing to make themselves legislatively responsible for attaining and maintaining full employment.
We are fed up with our tax dollars being squandered on militarism and wars instead of being used to create jobs by solving the problems of the people and defending our living environment… its time to beat swords into ploughshares. Put people to work solving the problems of the people.
A National Public Health Care System would create over twelve-million new jobs paying real living wages providing people with free health care--- general medical, eyes, ears, dental, family planning and mental health--- through a network of neighborhood and community health care centers; this is a better use of our tax-dollars than wasting our human and financial resources on a far flung empire of over 800 U.S. military bases around the world. Or, it could be financed the same way Social Security is financed. Public funding. Public administration. Public delivery… nothing controversial; just like public education.
A National Public Child Care System would create over three-million new jobs providing working class families with free child care.
We need to restore C.E.T.A., WPA and CCC.
We insist Congress and the president enact full employment legislation which makes them legislatively responsible for attaining and maintaining full employment; assure everyone who wants a job employment at real living wages in line with the actual cost-of-living.
Full employment would provide stability for Social Security; everyone paying in; everyone getting something out.
