Brian Melendez, MNDFL Chair, has placed me on the "Do Not Call List"
Last night I received a call from, Nathan, a hack working for Paul Thissen, the laughing stock of the MNDFL gubernatorial candidates.
Nathan was begging for my support for Paul Thissen for Governor.
There are currently 11 DFL candidates--- all white--- vying to become the next governor of Minnesota.
Politics in Minnesota has become the game of choice for muddle-headed middle class intellectuals who are too old to play the rough-and-tumble game of touch football and not old enough to retire away from the snow and cold in Florida.
Like 10 of the 11 MNDFL candidates, Paul Thissen is backed to the hilt by the racist and corrupt Minnesota Indian Gaming Association run by a racist white man who has become fabulously wealthy off the present day poverty of Native American Indians--- a poverty created almost exclusively by the Indian Gaming Industry where the tribal councils established by an all white government serve as a front for the most violent and vicious mobsters in this country who own every single slot machine, roulette wheel, crap table and black jack table... and even the poker rooms and bingo parlors.
Native American communities get stuck with huge debts and poverty wage jobs while casino workers are forced to work in smoke-filled casinos all compliments of racist white politicians like Paul Thissen who helped to pass Minnesota's "Freedom to Breath" legislation but intentionally excluded ONLY the casinos, leaving some 40,000 Minnesotans to work in the most unhealthy working environments in the State of Minnesota while receiving poverty wages and working without the protections of any labor laws. That's right; no protection under state, federal or tribal labor laws.
Because Brian Melendez does not want DFL'ers to have any contact with me because I write, talk and organize around these issues and expose this cozy little relationship between the Minnesota Democratic Farmer-Labor Party and the racist John McCarthy's Minnesota Indian Gaming Association that has bribed just about every single Minnesota into silence in the face of such injustices, Melendez has created a "Do Not Call List" according to Nathan.
I asked Nathan: How many people are on this "Do Not Call List?"
Nathan responded: Just you.
I asked Nathan why he was calling me and he said, "Paul asked me to give you a call because we really need your help. Our campaign is going down and someone with organizing skills like you could help us through these tough times."
Needless to say, I gave Nathan a piece of my mind and I assume Nathan now understands why Brian Melendez created a special list just for me.
Paul Thissen might want to try explaining to Native American Indian casino workers why he is seeking their votes after helping to initiate "Freedom To Breath" legislation which intentionally and with forethought leaves them to languish at poverty wage jobs in smoke-filled casinos without any rights.
Here is another way Paul Thissen and the 10 DFL gubernatorial candidates might want to view these smoke-filled casinos, like their campaign contributions compliments of John McCarthy's Minnesota Indian Gaming Association... Thissen and these other candidates should be viewing these casinos as the modern day equivalent of small pox laden blankets... now there is something for Paul Thissen and these whores from the Minnesota Democratic Farmer-Labor Party to think about as they are being pimped by the Minnesota Indian Gaming Association.
We all know that John McCarthy tells Brian Melendez what to do just like when John McCarthy tells Sally Fineday to sign the letters he writes trying to defend the injustices casino workers are being subjected to as defending "sovereignty."
By the way, if these casinos in Minnesota were to be taxed like all other businesses; Minnesota would be debt free... now, there is something for Minnesota voters to think about.
The Minnesota Indian Gaming Association owns ten of the 11 horses in the race.
The health insurance industry also owns the same ten horses.
The mining industry owns the same ten horses.
The banking industry owns the same ten horses.
The forestry industry owns the same ten horses.
There is one lone horse, a long-shot, backed by the working class and committed to Farmer-Labor ideals... Tom Rukavina.
A question: John McCarthy and the Minnesota Indian Gaming Association claim that the casinos are located in "foreign countries;" why, then, are these 10 DFL gubernatorial candidates not registering as recipients of campaign funds received from foreign countries?
Another question: Why would Minnesotans vote for candidates whose primary concerns are for the interests of foreign corporations to the detriment of Minnesotans?
Minnesota politicians are getting a free lunch compliments of the Minnesota Indian Gaming association; and, along with casino workers, Minnesotans are getting the shaft.
