Don't forget about our friends unjustly jailed... Rodney Reed and Curtis Buckanaga both victims of a racist and corrupt criminal justice system.

Don’t let this coronavirus pandemic distract us from the struggle to free Rodney Reed who is on death row in Texas the victim of a racist frame-up.

Also, my friend and fellow activist, Curtis Buckanaga sits in a Crow Wing County Minnesota jail after a racist Cass County Judge Halverson sentenced him to 270 days in jail for driving under the influence... he should have been provided help with his drinking problem, instead... but now he sits in a jail cell and the Crow Wing incarceration system is holding him, and others, who shouldn’t be in jail in the first place, even though there is coronavirus in their system.

Tens of thousands of people are sitting behind bars who do not belong in jails or prisons in the first place... their poverty puts them where no person with money committing the same “crimes” would be. And now this coronavirus could be handing them a death sentence as they are housed in these institutions.

I talked with Crow Wing County Sheriff Scott Goddard about all of this yesterday. I told him Curtis Buckanaga has a drinking problem but he is a very nice person who would never hurt anyone. He responded by saying, most of the people in my jail are nice people who just did a little something the courts think they should be in jail for, I’m not saying I agree, I’m just doing my job. The judges send them to me to lock them up.”

I told Sheriff Goddard the judges are sending you the wrong people to lock up... they should be sending you Trump and all these crooked politicians who think their wealth puts them above the law... Sheriff Goddard responded, “I agree with you there and I agree with you that your friend Curtis Buckanaga received an extreme sentence which no rich person or politician would have received for the same crime; 270 days is very extreme, someone must not like him... but I didn’t put him here. He is in my jail because Judge Halverson sent him here. You need to be talking to Judge Halverson.”

Well, this racist Judge who makes no bones about his hatred towards Native Americans that is seen in the sentences he hands out refuses to return my calls.

By the way, Curtis Buckanaga received a $135.00 fine and 270 days in jail... this should cause any thinking person to question the jail time Curtis Buckanaga received from a racist criminal justice system that would spend all this money to incarcerate him and not a penny to help him. And now Curtis Buckanaga is locked up in a system subjected to the possibility of getting the coronavirus...

this should not be.
