The
U.S. military uses 350,000 barrels of oil per day. That doesn't come
cheap at $48.00 a barrel. A "mere" $16,000,000.00 per day... but who is
counting? Just $5,696,000,000.00 a year.
Anyone know any better uses for this oil and its cost?
And in addition to the waste of a valuable natural resource this is, think of all the human and environmental murder, mayhem, and havoc it raises.
This figure doesn't include the cost of shipping and refining, either. Nor does it tell us who profits and how much those profits are.
But this carbon footprint doesn't come cheap no matter how one figures.
